Position Paper: Existing Worker Funding Inequity (January 2026)

Community Skills WA has released its Position Paper, Existing Worker – Funding Inequity (January 2026), following endorsement by the CSWA Board.

The paper highlights the urgent need for reform to ensure existing workers in the Social Assistance and Allied Health sectors have fair access to funded traineeships and employer incentives. As demand for care and community services increases, current funding settings continue to favour new entrants, restricting employers’ ability to upskill and retain the experienced workforce that underpins essential services across WA.
