The Department of Training and Workforce Development (DTWD) is inviting expressions of interest from experienced senior leaders to join TAFE Governing Councils across Western Australia.
Governing Councils play an important role in providing strategic direction, governance and oversight of WA’s TAFE colleges, helping to ensure vocational education and training continues to meet the needs of industry and the community.
Expressions of interest are currently being sought for appointments to the following TAFE Governing Councils:
- South Metropolitan TAFE
- North Regional TAFE
- Central Regional TAFE
- South Regional TAFE
An additional opportunity is available for the Deputy Chairperson position at South Regional TAFE.
Applicants with experience in governance, strategy, education and training, industry or community engagement are encouraged to apply. Experience on government boards or committees is highly desirable.
Governing Council members are remunerated for their services, and applications are welcomed from people with diverse backgrounds and experiences. Applications close Friday 13 November 2026.
